How does Ballantyne give back to the community?
Ballantyne Corporate Park achieved impressive results with its recent Third Annual Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina Food Drive, collecting 45,000 pounds of food. With a catchy theme of “Beans, Corn & Potatoes” to complement the first letter of each word in Ballantyne Corporate Park, tenants significantly increased their contributions this year. With an unprecedentedly generous donation of 20,000 pounds by Carlisle Companies, Ballantyne Corporate Park more than doubled its total of 18,256 pounds from 2010. The food collected will feed a family of four over 7,500 meals or serve over 30,000 individual meals. The food drive ran from April 25 through April 29.
In addition, AXA Equitable, one of Ballantyne Corporate Park’s largest and long-standing tenants, collected over 18,000 pounds of food through considerable financial contribution and multiple barrels of canned beans, corn and potatoes for the park-wide drive.
Thank you for your support and generous donations. Your contributions WILL make a huge impact in our community!

Mark Antonich of Ameriprise Financial Reminds Us To Remember Our Troops by Donating Used Cell Phones to Cell Phones for Soldiers
Mark Antonich of Ameriprise Financial heads up an on-going, year-round effort to support our troops by collecting used cell phones for Cell Phones for Soldiers. Residents of Ballantyne, Ballantyne Corporate Park and nearby towns can donate used cell phones by bringing them to Mark's office at Ameriprise Financial (Ballantyne One Building, 15720 John J. Delaney Drive, Suite 300). Cell Phones for Soldiers is a non-profit organization started in 2004 by 12- and 13-year-old siblings Robbie and Brittany Bergquist with just $21 of their own money. It raises funds through the collection of used cell phones, which are then refurbished or recycled. Each year, more than 130 million cell phones are decommissioned in the U.S. alone. To date, Cell Phones for Soldiers has collected more than 7.5 million phones and provided military personnel with more than 1 million of pre-paid calling cards and 60 million minutes of calling time to soldiers overseas. "With more than 150,000 troops serving overseas and away from their families, this is an opportunity to help our military men and women, and keep toxic wastes out of our landfills. We are proud to show support for U.S. soldiers and contribute to a worthy cause like Cell Phones for Soldiers," says Antonich.
