|The position of Business Development Director, reporting to the Director of Sales, is responsible for inside business development within a defined geographic region and market segment. Included in his/her responsibilities are sales lead prospecting, evaluation of business opportunities, coordination of sales support and company efforts with prospects, development of proposals and sales contracts, and closing sufficient new business to meet or exceed sales goals.
Identification and development of inside sales opportunities within assigned territory
Development of territory sales plan including targeted accounts, goals and strategies
Management of individual sales prospects from initial contact through contract execution
Interaction with industry consultants and business partners to identify sales opportunities
Continuous accountability for the status of all sales prospects within territory
Continuous objective evaluation of the viability of individual sales prospects
Disengaging as early as possible from prospects unlikely to result in a sale
Ongoing documentation of all sales contacts and prospect action plans
Efficient management of sales related expenses in accordance with company guidelines.
Participation in industry trade events

Minimum of 5 years of business to business sales experience is preferred
Software sales experience is preferred
Knowledge of Banking Industry a plus
A Bachelor's degree in a business related field or in the process of completion
Industry experience is preferred

Schedule and orchestrate all supplier meetings, owner meetings and conference calls.
Compile and prepare statistical or analytical reports to be used in meetings and presentations.
Perform assigned functions relating to the execution of the Annual General Meeting, preparatory planning as it relates to members site, attendee correspondence, post meeting survey development and execution.
Record minutes of Board Meetings and Annual General Meeting.
Arrange, schedule and administer all work & travel schedules.
Maintain required activity logs for administrative, legal and budgetary reasons.
Answers incoming calls and transfers calls when needed to the appropriate associate and as required, take and relay messages.
Recommend changes to the daily administration and execution of SMA affairs.
Serve as primary contact for building/office management contractors; resolve all matters of importance relating to SMA offices, to include hospitality and cleanliness of primary gathering areas.
